Amongst the festive events of music, street parties and parades of peñas, the procession of the Virgen del Espinar, from her sanctuary to the Cathedral of the Alcarria under a sky of fireworks, stands out.

Festive Programme 2022

Friday 16th September

  • 21:30h. Fire and light show from the Plaza to the Glorieta.
  • 22:00h. Popular Spanish wine in the Glorieta.
  • 22:30h. Proclamation of Fiestas by the Peña "El Truño" and proclamation of the 2022 King and Queen.
  • 23:00h. Performance by the Jarana orchestra.

Saturday 17th September

  • 11:30h. Circus Day in the Plaza.
  • 18:00h. Parade of Peñas with batucada, giants, big-heads, stilt walkers and jugglers. Peñas fancy dress competition.
  • 20:00h. Procession in honour of the Virgin of El Espinar with the accompaniment of the the Sacedón Music Band.
  • 23.00h. Performance by the orchestra Gran Danubios Show.
  • 05:30h. Disco-mobile Scandalosa.

Sunday 18th September

  • 11:00h. Children's Running of the Bulls in the Plaza.
  • 12:30h. High Mass in honour of the Virgen del Espinar with the accompaniment of the Valle Folk group.
  • 13:30h. Vermouth Dance with the group Entre Duendes.
  • 17:30h. Bullfighting Practical Classes (separate programme).
  • 23:00h. Fancy dress competition.
  • 00:00h. Performance by the Pirate Orchestra.

Monday 19th September

  • 12:30h. High Mass in honour of the Virgen del Tremedal with the accompaniment of the Deleitia-Celia Alcedo vocal duo, violin and organ.
  • 13:30h. Vermouth Dance with a concert by David Zayas.
  • 19:30h. We cook the popular caldereta (stew) as usual.
  • 23:00h. End of festivities with a performance by the Valparaiso orchestra.
