This festival has been declared of National Tourist Interest in Andalusia, with a programme full of activities: theatres, performances, market with local crafts. Tastings of typical products of the municipality, such as its famous medlar liqueurs and jams.

Next, the Níspero de Honor awards ceremony

These awards are intended to recognize the work carried out by institutions and individuals in support of the Town, Region and Province.

Loquat of honor at the provincial level

This award is granted to the Regulatory Council of the designations of origin "Málaga", "Sierras de Málaga" and "Pasas de Málaga" in recognition of the work they carry out in representation, defense, guarantee, training, research, development and innovation of markets and promotion of both the wines and raisins covered

Loquat of honor at the regional level

This award is given to the "Corazón Moscatel" route in recognition of the municipalities of Almáchar, El Borge and Moclinejo for their work joining forces to enhance the charm of Axarquía and our Muscat raisin grape, recognized internationally as an Important System of the World Agricultural Heritage (GIAHS)

Loquat of honor locally

This award is granted to Mr. Jose Isidro Ariza Sánchez in recognition of his work in taking daily care of his medlar farm with dedication, effort and affection and for the magnificent dissemination of the Sayalonga medlar that he carries out through the media and social networks @isidrillo_fruit

Medlar Harvester Award

This award will be presented to Mr. José Baeza Sánchez for his lifelong work dedicated to the cultivation of the Sayalonga medlar.

XXIII "Adolfo Córdoba" Painting Contest

The award will be presented to the artist Mr. Jose Luis Méndez Pomés (MENPO) as the winner of the contest, whose work "Sayalonga y los nísperos" has been the poster announcing this edition of Medlar Day

Children's drawing contest "Níspero Day"

Organized by the "Poeta Fernández Mota" Municipal Library. Presentation of prizes to the winners of each category and gifts to all participants

"El Moral" Women's Association of Sayalonga

Presentation of the municipality's beautification project with the crochet workshop

2:30 p.m. Performance by the Güí Fandangos group from El Morche
3:30 p.m. Performance by the Verdiales Panda Arroyo Conca de Comares
4:30 p.m. Performance by the Rociero La Blanca Paloma Choir from Corumbela

The Painted Eggs of Pola de Siero

Medieval Days of Montiel

Historical days related to the death of Pedro I of Castile, recreating the arrival of the king in Montiel, taking refuge in the Castle of the Star. We will see how life was in the 14th century and witness the famous Battle of Montiel.
