How is the "Fiesta del Cocido" celebrated in Lalín?

It is important to point out that in Lalín there is a whole month dedicated to this famous dish, which is perfect to eat in winter and is served daily in many places.

The most important day is the Cocido Fair, which takes place on the Sunday before the carnival, when there is a programme of musical, artistic and cultural activities, such as the reading of the proclamation, the parade of floats, music bands, parades, as well as the tasting of this traditional dish and other products obtained from the slaughter of the pig.

Meat and vegetable stalls are also set up in the Campo da Feira Vella. Here all the attendees have the opportunity to buy these products, very fresh and at excellent prices.

It has become a custom to celebrate the month of the cocido, which takes place between January and February. But the most important day is the Sunday before Carnival, when the Feria del Cocido (stew fair) is held and different events take place.
