Program of Festivities of Our Lady of Mercy in Huete

Municipal festivities in the town of Huete in honour of the Virgen de la Merced. Festivities of the whole town in which its Craft Fair, the religious acts to the Virgin such as the procession, the bullfighting and the night-time music stand out.

From the City Council of Huete and the Festival Committee, we present this year's 2023 program. The festivities will take place from September 21st to 24th, featuring new additions this year, along with a wide range of activities leading up to the grand weekend. We hope that the celebrations in honor of Our Lady of Mercy will be enjoyable for everyone, and that they are thoroughly enjoyed.

The organization has put together a comprehensive set of activities for all ages and interests. In addition to the sports and cultural events leading up to the festival days, children can participate in an innovative children's cattle show. The youth won't stop with the DJ music session in the early morning hours, and for everyone, we have performances by high-quality orchestras, musical acts at the Craft Fair, afternoon strolls, floral offerings, the opening ceremony, and the parade of clubs. This is in addition to the religious events that are central to our celebration. As a new feature, there will be a release of cattle on Saturday afternoon, with participation always adhering to the rules, for the enjoyment of a festive atmosphere for club members and the general population. A special mention goes to the 23rd Craft Fair held in the cloister of the Convent of Jesus and Mary, currently the Photography Museum, establishing itself each year as one of the most prestigious fairs in the province.
