The patron saint festivities of Gátova commemorate our patron saint, the Virgen de la Merced, with religious acts in honour of the Virgin with the solemn mass and procession and the traditional 'Tarde de Jotas', an Intangible Asset of Local Relevance. In addition, there are convivial events in the squares of the municipality.

Friday, 23rd September
- 14:00 h. Bell ringing to announce the fiesta.
- 20:00 h. Evening parade by the Santa Cecilia Musical Society.
- 21:00 h. Brotherhood supper in the Plaza Nueva (snacks will be served). Followed by a Musical Duo.
Saturday, 24th September
- 7:00 h. Aurora singing.
- 9:00 h. Rosary of the Aurora.
- 12:00 h. Mass in honour of La Merced. At the end, premiere of the procession march of "dol aina i tabalet" dedicated to the patron saint.
- 13:00 h. Parade and tribute to the elderly of the town.
- 14:00 h. Corretraca.
- 14:30 h. Giant Paella in the Town Hall Square.
- 18:00 h. "Afternoon of Jacks" with the Santa Cecilia Musical Society and the Raices de Gatova Rondalla.
- 21:30 h. Solemn procession in honour of the Virgen de la Merced. At the end, singing of the "gozos" in the parish church and fireworks display.
- 24:00 h. Dance with the group Replay in Plaza Nueva and end of festivities.
