The Primer Corte de la Miel de Ayora began as a beekeeping event, but over time it has expanded and has become a very attractive fair for tourists.

Many visitors come to taste its exquisite honey and to enjoy the activities organised during the weekend in the fairground, which is divided into several areas: beekeeping, gastronomy, children's area, craft area, shopping area and alleyways.

One of the most popular activities is the glass urn where the beekeepers reproduce the whole honey process, from the installation of the hive to the extraction of the honey.

During these days there are guided visits to the town's Cultural Heritage Sites: Church of the Assumption, Ayora Castle, etc. You can also visit the cave paintings of Abrigo de Tortosilla, a World Heritage Site, and the Iberian settlement of Castellar de Meca.
