For just over two weeks, the Carnival of Ecija goes from the theater to the streets, neighborhoods, schools and bars where everyone dresses up to celebrate one of the most fun parties of the year.

Adult town crier and children's town crier

Adult town crier for Carnival 2023: Jesús Rodríguez Cabello.

The proclamation will take place on 3 February at 9.00 pm.

Children's town crier: María Rodríguez García.

The children's proclamation will take place on 5 February at 4.00 p.m. in the municipal theatre.

It will take place next 4th February in the municipal theatre at 20.00 hours:

Children's opening speech and children's group competition

The children's opening speech and the children's group competition will take place on 5 February at 12.00 noon.

The order of performance will be as follows:

  • 1º. El show ave los Azulejillos if they sing this year (ee.pp. Sagrada Familia)
  • 2º. The Astigi squadron, heroes of the neighbourhood (Blas Infante)
  • 3º. Ristorante Pizzeria la Safissima (ee. pp . Sagrada Familia)
  • Contest of children's carnival couples 2023

This year there are 10 schools taking part in the 2023 carnival children's pairs competition. The competition will take place on 12 February at 12.00 noon in the Municipal Theatre.

Children's workshops and activities

During all Carnival weekends there will be activities for the little ones with workshops and various activities.

Area of Plaza de España and Avenida de Andalucía.

On Friday 17th, as in previous years, a children's party will be held in the Las Torres shopping centre. There will be performances by children's groups and carnival couples. There will be workshops and activities totally free of charge.

Days of workshops: 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18 and 19.

Carnival Parade

The Carnival parade will take place on 19 February, Sunday at 12.00 noon, leaving from Plaza de Colón and arriving at Plaza de España, where it will end with activities throughout the afternoon.

Performances by groups from Cádiz

22 April at 17.00 hours in Plaza de España, performance by groups:

Las Cadiwoman.

Comparsa "las musas", who last year were the comparsa "we can do".

Carnival ticket sales

Next Saturday 28 January at 9.00 a.m. tickets will go on sale for the adult Carnival group competition and the opening speech by Jesús Rodríguez Caballero. Tickets will be sold at the theatre box office and if there are any tickets left they will be put on the Giglón sales platform.

On Saturday at 16.00 the tickets for the children's groups and the children's pairs competition of Carnival 2023 will go on sale.
