The colourful Malaga Carnival takes place in the theatre and in the streets, where locals and visitors enjoy the parades and the most original costumes.

Inaugural Conference

February 3 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ateneo de Malaga

The party chronicler David Delfín, accompanied by the troupe from Arroyo and Vanesa Medina will kick off one of the most anticipated acts for party lovers. The talk is entitled: "The popular Andalusian in the carnival songs. History of a December 4 in 45 years"

  • 8:00 p.m. Proclamation of the Carnival of Malaga by Paqui Prieto in the Plaza de la Constitución

February 17 Carnival Friday

  • 6:00 p.m. children's parade
  • 9:00 p.m. Drag Queens Grand Gala in the Plaza de la Constitución

February 18 Masquerade Saturday

  • 12:00 p.m. Children's costume contest in the Plaza de la Constitución and awards ceremony for the best drawings
  • 12:00 p.m. Performances by children's groups in the Plaza de la Constitución
  • 18:00 Parade of animation and Gods
  • 20:00 Battle of flowers in Calle Larios
  • 21:00 The Night of the Costume and party of the 80s with a concert by Electroduendes and Capitán Vinilo. There will be a contest to decide who wears the best costume.

February 19 Piñata Sunday

  • 12:00 p.m. Parades of Gods, song contest, big boqueroná and carnival groups in the street
  • 5:00 p.m. Burial of the Boquerón on Malagueta Beach

Carnival in your District

The great novelty of this Carnival of Malaga 2023 and that replace the old previous ones. They are produced with the contest already started, so the groups present will perform the repertoire of this edition. Watch out for dates and locations. Of course, there will be representation of singing groups.
