The Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival is one of the most important and spectacular in Spain. The Carnival party has no limits, the only requirement to attend is to have fun.

It is one of the most incredible carnivals in Spain, with a clear Brazilian influence, and for fifteen days, fun, creativity and luxury overflow the streets of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The highlight is the Gala of the Election of the Queen of the Fiesta with the presence of amazing costumes, some of them very heavy, whose images go around the world.

After the election of the Queen of the Fiesta, the carnival takes to the streets in Friday's spectacular Cavalcade, where thousands of people in costume parade through the streets of the city, spreading happiness and joy. Music and dancing take over the whole city. Satire and social criticism are also present through the carnival groups.

On Tuesday the Cabalgata del Coso takes place, and the following day the Entierro de la Sardina (Burial of the Sardine) brings the festival to a close, but not before celebrating the Piñata Chica, during the weekend, with performances, open-air dances and parties in the neighbourhoods.
