The streets of Hellín are covered with carpets of sawdust decorated with bright colors that will be destroyed at the passage of the Corpus Christi procession. It is a Festival of Regional Tourist Interest.

The celebrations of Corpus Christi and its Octave, declared of Regional Tourist Interest, are organised in Hellín by the Asociación Amigos de Corpus.

Although the day of Corpus Christi, a regional holiday, is this year on Thursday 8 June, in the city it is in the early hours of Friday to Saturday when the streets are decorated for the Eucharistic procession of these celebrations, which takes place on Saturday morning.

The ornamentation in the Corpus Christi procession in Hellín includes sawdust carpets, vegetable carpets, altars, floral or textile decorations on balconies, facades, ... and for the Octave the installation of altars.
