In the region of Camero Viejo, in La Rioja, a day of fraternisation, meeting of its people and dissemination of its roots, traditions and culture is celebrated in order to make it known to the whole world. Each year it is held in a different village.

Every year the region of Camero Viejo, in La Rioja, has a day of fraternisation, meeting of its people and dissemination to make it better known.

Each year it is held in a different village and in 2022 the event will take place in Soto en Cameros, on 6 August.

There will be markets, dramatised routes, tastings, popular food, a wine and beer fair, exhibitions, a children's area with inflatable water games, a zip line and musical performances.

Come and get to know the region and enjoy a great day out with us.

Programme of events

10:00 h.

  • Inauguration of Camero Viejo Day.
  • Opening of exhibitions.
  • Opening of the Ultramar market in the Placita.

11:00 h.

  • Opening of the children's area in the Cascajar.
  • Start of the "Flying along the Leza" activity.
  • Start of the guided route through the village.

11:30 h.

  • Tasting of migas de pastor (shepherd's breadcrumbs) in the square.
  • Start of performances by dance groups around the emblematic areas of the town.

12:30 h.

  • Theatrical performance in the square: Tribute to the benefactors of Cameros.

13:00 h.

  • Performance in the square by a group from Cuba.

15:00 h.

  • Brotherhood lunch in La Isla Park.

17:00 h.

  • Performance and entertainment in the Isla Park.
  • Reopening of the children's water park.
  • Reopening of "Flying along the Leza".
  • Reopening of the Ultramar market.

19:00 h.

  • 2nd wine, beer and pinchos fair in the town square.
  • Resumption of the guided tour of the town.

21:30 h.

  • Performance by the group La Orquestina on the stage in the square.

23:00 h.

  • DJ performance in the Plaza until the body can take it.
