2ND DAY OF THE CATETO BREAD OF CORUMBELA - 2023

The Sayalonga Town Council would like to invite you to join us in celebrating the 2nd CORUMBELA BREAD DAY. This event will be held on Sunday 4th June in Corumbela, a village in Sayalonga, where we will have a tasting of the traditional Corumbela "pan cateto" bread made in a traditional way in a wood-fired oven from 12:00h onwards. There will also be paella for all those attending, awards for some of the local residents, performances by local groups and live music.

Pilgrimage of Our Lady of the Mountain

Devotion and joy in Sierra Morena. Pilgrimage to the Sanctuary, moving mass, and procession with the Virgin. Pilgrims sing and dance along the way, and the celebration culminates with a parade through the streets to the Parish Church. A deeply rooted tradition since 1635.

In August, the Encierro del Pilón de Falces takes place, a bullfighting festival in which young people run in front of the bulls along a dangerous path on the edge of the cliff.
