From 6pm on Fragata beach to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Barraques with performances by the artists, 9Zenit, Svetlana, Guillem Estadella, Maria Jacobs, Julieta, Ginestà, Smoking Souls, The Tyets, Figa Flawas and Dj Trapella.

21:00 TRANSFER OF THE IMAGE OF ST. BARTHOME
Parish of Sant Bartomeu and Santa Tecla
The Municipal Commission for the Festa Major of Sant Bartomeu and Santa Tecla, representing the municipal authorities, will collect the image of the Patron Saint from Mn. Josep Pausas, rector of the parish. Then, with the musical accompaniment of Cobla Maricel, the Colla d'Ex-Geganters (Veterans) of the Old Giants of Sitges will move to the Ermita de Sant Sebastià, a place designated by this year's Pendonistes and cordonistes.

Once you arrive at the Hermitage, OPENING PRAYER OF THE EXHIBITION OF THE IMAGE OF SAINT BARTHOMEU.

Route: Baluard, Fonollar, Baluard Vidal I Quadras, Port de n’Alegre, Avinguda Balmins until reaching the Ermita de Sant Sebastià.

The image of Sant Bartomeu, the patron saint of our town, will remain on display in the Ermita de Sant Sebastià.

18:30 WE DRESS THE MOOR GIANTS

We will decorate Fa-Luch and La-hia with the company of the little ones in the house.

21:30 DELIVERY OF THE FLAG
Parish of Sant Bartomeu and Santa Tecla.
With a recital of allegorical poems to the Bandera del Sant Patró and with the singing of the Joys of Sant Bartomeu, by the Cor dels Amics de l'Orgue. This year, the Poem a la Bandera is the work of Alba Gràcia Pañella.

FLAG TRANSFER CERCAVILA
Accompanied by the Cobla Maricel, parade to the address of the president of the Major Festival Commission, Marta Casterad Farreras, at Carrer Pintor Marià Carbonellopis, 22.

POPULAR SINDRIADA
Once the flag arrives in front of the President's house, the crowd gathers for all those present.

The image of Sant Bartomeu, the patron saint of our town, will remain on display in the Ermita de Sant Sebastià.
Schedule: Morning from 10am until the time of the civic procession.

12:00h GRALLERS ENTRY
Head of the Village
The various formations will offer their pieces in tribute to the founders of the Festa Major. The grallers of the Escola de Grallers de Sitges, Marcets, La Sitja, Colla Maricel participate, as well as the sacair gangs, Joan Olarte, Mitja Cobla Ribetana and Miquel Acunya.
Route: Sant Francesc, Cap de la Vila, Mayor and Town Hall Square.

14:00 IGNITION OF THE 21 MORTARS AND RINGING OF BELLS
In charge of the Cercolets Dance of the Sitges Popular Dance Group in commemoration of the 170th Anniversary of the first written reference.

14:15h DEPARTURE OF THE APPETIZERS AND POPULAR DANCES
From the Plaza de l'Ajuntament, going down the main street until reaching the Cap de la Vila with the Giants, Cabeçuts, Drac, Áliga, Diables, Batons, Cercolets, Tambourines, Pastorets, Cintes, Gypsies and Moixiganga, accompanied by the Suburban grouping of the Retiro. Once you arrive at Cap de la Vila, the complete Moixiganga dance will be performed.

2:00 p.m. SARDANES

La Cobla Sitgetana will perform the sardines The Procession of Sant Bartomeu, by Antoni Català and Vidal, and the Festa Major, by Enric Morera and Viura.

2.45pm LIGHT PERFORMANCE AND REPRESENTATION OF TALKED DANCES
In the Hort de Can Falç in honor of the authorities and the citizens, a performance of brilliance. All the gangs will perform and the spoken dances will be performed: Ball of Devils, Ball of Cercolets, Ball of Shepherds, and Balls of Gypsies. At the same time, some groups will visit the Hospital de Sant Joan Baptista.

The popular dances, hors d'oeuvres, musicians and authorities, with the Suburban Musical Group, will collect the tabernacle of Sant Bartomeu, in the place designated by the group of ex-Geganters (Veterans) of the Old Giants of Sitges, Pendonists and cordonists of Sant Bartomeu 2023, and will accompany him to the Parish Church.

Capacity is limited. It is recommended to reserve the ticket in advance at the Commission Stand or at the Alba Kiosk. People with reduced mobility must also formalize the reservation in advance at the indicated points. Contribution of €5.

THURSDAY 24 AUGUST – Major Festival, Feast of Saint Bartholomew the Apostle

Festivity of Sant Bartomeu Apostol, Patron Saint of Sitges, is the main day of the Festa Major Sitges 2023 celebrations

6:00 AM HAPPY AND FESTIVE MORNING
From the Baluard Miquel Utrillo and Morlius at dawn, the dances, hors d'oeuvres and musicians, will once again parade through the streets of the town. Anyone who wants to can join the strip dance. You just need to be dressed in white, with striped espadrilles and wear a sash. Following tradition, municipal officials, the Commission and people invited by it, and linked to the party, will present fragrant flowers.

10:30 a.m. SOLEMN SERVICE IN HONOR OF THE PATRON OF SITGES
Parish of Sant Bartomeu and Santa Tecla
The celebration will be presided over by Mn. Josep Pausas, rector of the parish. This year, at the offertory, the Capgrossos gang from the Popular Dance Group of Sitges will be the ones making the offering, on behalf of the whole town, to our Patron Saint.
At the end of the celebration, I sing of the joys to the Saint.

LEAVE OFFICE
After the Office from the Baluard to the Town Hall square
Musical parade of the Band, which will accompany the authorities to the Town Hall. Then all the dances and their respective musicians will perform, together with the Cobla Maricel and the Suburban Musical Group of the Retiro, creating one of the most magical moments of the Festa Major.
After the performance of the dances and snacks, the Band will perform Els Segadors, the national anthem of Catalonia.

CASTLE EXHIBITION
At the end of the Official Tour in the Town Hall square, a castella performance by the Colla Jove de Castellers de Sitges and presentation of the Pubilla and the Heir of the Colla Jove de Castellers de Sitges 2023.

19:30h PROCESSION IN HONOR OF SAN BARTOMEU
From the Bastion of the Tabernacle of Sant Bartomeu through the streets and squares of the town, accompanied by all Sitgetans who wish to do so, presiding over this processional act is the Lord Rector of the Parish Mn. Josep Pausas Mas with the assistance of the Illustríssimo City Council. All popular dances, grallers and the Suburban Musical Group of Retiro.
The parish ganfaró and the tabernacle of Sant Bartomeu will be carried by the Body of Bearers of Sant Bartomeu and Santa Tecla.
He has been designated as Penndonists and Cordonists of the Sant Bartomeu Flag in the Ex-Gegants (Veterans) Group of the Old Giants of Sitges.

When the religious procession passes through Paseo de la Ribera, the Patron Saint of the Villa will be greeted with volleys of mortars and the ringing of bells. The Cobla Sitgetana will perform the sardanas The Giants of Sitges by Mestre Tomàs Gil i Membrado and the Procession of Sant Bartomeu by Mestre Antoni Català i Vidal.

ENTRANCE OF SAINT BARTOMEU TO THE PARISH CHURCH
When the procession arrives at the Baluard, the dances, hors d'oeuvres, musicians and the pillar of the Colla Jove de Castellers de Sitges, will surround the tabernacle, paying the last tribute to our patron, while fireworks explode and the bells bravely ring during the month what an emotional entry of Sant Bartomeu into the Parish Church.
Then, inside the temple, closing prayer.

FINAL BALLAD OF THE FIRE BEASTS AND THE GIANTS
Following the closing prayer, in front of the Town Hall, to say goodbye to the traditional events until Santa Tecla, the final ballad of the Beasts of fire and the Giants will take place.
