At the end of January the Fiesta de las Cuadrillas is held, where the streets of Barranda host the clash of the cuadrillas and the different bands perform traditional songs and dances of the most joyful and entertaining kind.

THE FESTIVAL OF THE CUADRILLAS:

  • 09.30 h. Mass sung by the Animeros de Cehegín.
  • 10.30 h. Reception of the "cuadrillas" and authorities and presentation of souvenirs. Door of the church of Barranda.
  • 11.30 to 14.00 h. Music and traditional dance with the "cuadrillas" in the streets of Barranda.
