La Maderada is the main event of the May festivities in Cofrentes. It consists of the reenactment of the wood descent down the Cabriel River. This profession brought fame to the people of Cofrentes for centuries, earning them the nickname 'madereros' (woodworkers).

Another custom that has become a tradition during these festivities is the giant apella, which brings together the locals and visitors. Additionally, like in all municipal celebrations, various activities such as sports competitions, gastronomic events, and cultural contests are organized, aiming to keep the popular folklore of the municipality alive.
