Thursday, day 1

Beginning of the Medieval Mossades!
Consult the different participating establishments and go and have a bite until Sunday.

Friday, day 2

From 09:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. the schools visit the Fair: visit to the County Historical Archive, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary celebration, they will learn about the most emblematic installations and documents of the city's medieval past, visit to the laundry room of the Stream and explanation of the auca of the apron, and workshop of an old ceramic craft in the middle of the Mercadal.

10:00 a.m. 5th King Pere the Ceremonious Studies Conference, in the hall of the Paeria de Balaguer.

10.00 a.m. opening of the medieval market, in Plaça del Mercadal.

From 11.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. laundry in La Reguereta, with the Rural Women's Association. Historical recreation of how washing was done in the Middle Ages.

From 4:30 p.m. 2nd part of the 5th King Pere the Ceremonious Study Day, History under the porches, in the cloister of Sant Domènec.

18.00 h children's puppet show with the title Medieval stories and legends, by the Company ¾ of 15, on the stage of the gastronomic space Les Tavernes. Advisable up to 10 years.

From 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. laundry in La Reguereta, with the Rural Women's Association. Historical recreation of how washing was done in the Middle Ages.

7:00 p.m. Obertorium musical parade, with the Quinta Forca group, through different streets of the historic center.

7:00 p.m. closing of the Conference by the acting father of culture, Arnau Torrente Capdevila.

20:00 live performance of a fresco mural, by Josep Minguell and Affresco Teatre, in the church of Sant Josep (c/ del Miracle).

10.00 p.m. musical concert with the group La Quinta Forca, in the gastronomic space Les Tavernes, where you can dine while savoring tapas, craft beers, and local wines..., among others.

Saturday, day 3

From 8.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. 2nd quick painting competition Grup d'Art 4 Ciutat de Balaguer, within the framework of Harpia, in order to give possible new landscape and thematic approaches. Participants can register at www.grupdart4.com where they will also find the rules. Free registration.

10.00 a.m. opening of the medieval market in Plaça del Mercadal.

10:00 a.m. opening of the Ancient Trades Exhibition in Carrer d'Avall, with interactive workshops for boys and girls where they will be taught how work was done in the past.

10:00 a.m. opening of the medieval camp, on the left bank of the Segre River, Parc de la Transsegre. Program of activities:
11.30 a.m. demonstration of how to dress the lady and the gentleman.
12.00 h individual combats.
1:00 p.m. explanation of medieval cuisine.
17.00 how wines, spirits and other drinks were made.
18.00 h formation of the battle. Interactive explanation of how it was fought at that time.

10.00 a.m. opening of the children's area in Plaça del Pou.
Foam rubber swords workshop Forge of the Dwarves.

  From 10 years old, in charge of the Pere III House Ball of Batons, in the children's area, in Plaça del Pou.

11.45 a.m. musical parade with the group la Torna and the Bufons del Castell Formós, from the Toniton Company. Departure from the information point in Plaça del Mercadal.

12:00 p.m. storytelling with Martina Trementina, in the children's area, located in Plaça del Pou. Suitable for all audiences.

12.30 pm vermouth time with the performance of the Anem Fent group. Own songs with Lleida and Catalan vocabulary, simple and cheerful. The tavern atmosphere is guaranteed, in the gastronomic space Tavernes.

1:00 p.m. storytelling with Martina Trementina, in the children's area, located in Plaça del Pou. Suitable for all audiences.

1.30 pm musical parade with the group la Torna, through different streets of the historic center.

17.00 h circus performance by the Toniton Company, in Plaça del Pou.

5:30 p.m. La gralla mágica musical parade with the group la Torna, through the streets of the historic center.

5.45 pm The medieval magic show with the Magician Reivax, on the stage of the Tavernes area, in the middle of the Mercadal.

From 18.00 h to 20.00 hlaundry in La Reguereta, with the Rural Women's Association.

6.15 p.m. visit of the Alchemists for the Ancient Crafts Exhibition, by the Toniton Company.

18.30 itinerant musical parade with the group la Torna, departure from the information point in Plaça del Mercadal.

8.30 p.m. descent from the Harpia del Castell Formós.
Departure from Castell Formós by the Counts of Urgell, Teresa d'Entença and Alfons el Benigne and historical recreation groups of the medieval camp. All together, enlivened by the Patakada percussion group from the Balaguer Municipal School of Music.
Anyone who wants to can participate dressed in period clothing and carrying torches.

21.00 reception of the Paeria with the giants Yussuf al-Muzzafar and Arsenda de Mormur, in Plaça de Sant Salvador. Arrival of the Harpy and start of the parade.

9.30 pm welcome dance by Yussuf al-Muzzafar and Arsenda de Mormur, in the Museum Square.

9.30 p.m. traveling parade with the stilt monster Winged Monster accompanied by two characters with torches from the Toniton Company through Plaça del Mercadal.

9:35 p.m. Parliament of Countess Teresa d'Entença, in Plaça del Museu.

9.45 p.m. Premiere of the Popular Ballad of the Harpy Jump, in the Plaça del Museu.

10.00 pm Foc de l'Harpia dance with the Devils Beasts Feréstegues de Balaguer, in the Plaça del Museu.

10.30 p.m. performance by the music group Nancy Whiskey, with a repertoire of traditional Irish songs and Celtic instrumental pieces and with the participation of the public, in the gastronomic space Les Tavernes, where you can have dinner or have some tapas.

Sunday, day 4

5:30 p.m. start of the medieval gastronomic educational workshop for children: making period ginger cookies, in the children’s area, in Plaça del Pou.
Aimed at children from 4 to 12 years. Places limited to 20 participants per group.

8:00 p.m. traveling parade with the Winged Monster stilt walker accompanied by two characters with torches from the Toniton Company through the streets of the historic center.

8:30 p.m. End of party drumming with the Bandelpal percussion group from Balaguer. Departure from the information point in Plaça del Mercadal.

9.15 p.m. Harpy dance to close the party, in Plaça del Mercadal.

Game of the harpie, look for the medieval shops in the historic center of the city.
To start playing, come to the Museum and listen to the Harpy's message.
You need an accompanying adult and a mobile phone.
   The Merchants' Association of the historic center collaborates.

*From May 30 to June 2, both included:
  costumes from the medieval period can be rented for all ages at the premises at carrer d’Avall, no. 44 (former Castillo Sports).
We recommend all visitors to dress in period clothing throughout the weekend, in order to make the party even bigger.

*From June 1 to June 4, both inclusive:
Medieval bites all over the city.
