On June 2nd, the XIV Fadriqueñas Conference will kick off, concluding on Sunday, June 4th, 2023. This major tourist event is held in honor of the founder of La Villa de don Fadrique, Infante don Fadrique de Castilla, who was killed by his half-brother, King Pedro I El Cruel, a nickname he earned for having lunch on top of his corpse in the royal Alcázares of Seville on May 29th, 1358.
This year's theme will be "Customs and Traditions in the Late Middle Ages," and all the activities during these three days will revolve around it. There will be theater performances, music, a historical conference, transformed this year into a Round Table format, and everything will be set in a Medieval Market located between the Plaza Mayor and the Plaza de España.
