The most ancestral of the Galician pilgrimages and one of the oldest in Spain, many claim that it dates back to the 12th century. Declared a Festival of Tourist Interest. Classified by the English newspaper The Guardian as 'the second most unique festival in the world'.

Santa Marta de Ribarteme. This festival was declared a Festival of Tourist Interest two years ago, and this 2022 will be the first year in which we recover the procession.

Programme

From 20 to 28 July

  • Mass and Novena at 21 h.

(The Code of Canon Law contemplates the change of promises or vows that can be made by any priest).

Friday, 29th July

  • Mass every hour from 7 a.m. At 12 noon. Solemn Procession accompanied by the Rubiós Popular Band, followed by a concert.
  • Evening Mass at 20 h.
  • 18:00 Traditional music and dance with A.C. Pontenova
  • 22:00 Verbena with GRAN PARADA and Trio AZAR.

Saturday 30th July

  • Mass at 12 h.
  • 22:00 Verbena with COSTA BLANCA and ALBA Trio.

Sunday, 31st July

  • Mass at 20 h.
