What the festival consists of

On the second Sunday in October and the following Monday and Tuesday, the Vall d'Uixó is full of emotion, tradition, customs and fun. It does so with its great festival of the Holy Family and the Holy Christ which, in 2004, was declared of National Tourist Interest.

During this event, fun for all ages is combined with religious worship in a varied programme of events. Festivities popularly known as "de Sant Josep".

The celebration begins with the appointment of the queen of the festivities and her court, followed by other events such as cultural, musical, bullfighting and sporting events.

In addition to all this entertainment, there are also religious events, such as the Rosary of the Dawn, the Pontifical Mass, the floral offerings, the processions and other solemn events. If you visit La Vall d'Uixó during these days, you can enjoy, for example, fireworks, open-air dances, exhibitions of vintage cars or a medieval market, among others.
